Our 2017 Partners

Zoo New England / Franklin Park Zoo
Zoo New England (ZNE) is the non-profit organization responsible for the operation and management of the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, MA. ZNE is dedicated to teaching conservation through responsible management and exhibition of wildlife. Volunteers will work outside on the park grounds and assist with park maintenance projects.

Covenant House
Covenant House was first built in 1982 to provide quality, affordable housing for seniors and disabled residents.  Today, Covenant House has 242 units in the Brighton/Brookline area. A multi-ethnic, multi-lingual community, the building maintains student programs with Lesley College, Boston University and Boston College. Volunteers will visit with residents and assist with general projects around the Housing center.

St. Ambrose Family Inn
St. Ambrose Family Inn, a program of Catholic Charities, is a shelter in the Field's Corner neighborhood of Dorchester. Opened in 1989, the shelter can accommodate 12 families. The population is mostly women and children, but St. Ambrose does accept fathers with their children. There are usually 18-25 children staying at the shelter and they range in age from 0 to 17 years. The goals of the shelter are to assist families in finding safe and affordable housing, and to prepare families to live successfully and independently in their own apartments. While families stay at the Inn, they are provided with housing search assistance, social work services, comfortable rooms and nutritious meals.  Volunteers will primarily assist with grounds work, including cleaning and organizing.
