Adventurer Ascends the Heights

At 8 p.m. on Sept. 28, Eagles everywhere will have the chance to hear Erik Weihenmayer '91, H'03, share his inspiring achievements. Weihenmayer will appear at the Robsham Theater to speak to students for the Agape Latte event sponsored by the Church in the 21st Century Center. The event will be live streamed for alumni.

Q. Who's Erik Weihenmayer?

A. Erik is many things—a best-selling author, an athlete and adventurer, an activist, a highly in-demand motivational speaker, and a BC grad. He also happens to be blind. Erik is the first blind person to reach the top of Mount Everest and climb the Seven Summits. He's kayaked the Grand Canyon—277 challenging miles that inspired his book No Barriers.

A. An engaging discussion on faith and college life in an inviting social environment.  Students enjoy desserts, coffee, and conversations. Agape Latte celebrates 10 years at Boston College this year. This series is sponsored by Campus Ministry and the Church in the 21st Century Center.
